Teunis was born in 1719 in Almkerk en Emmikhoven and his baptism took place there on January 8th, 1719.1   His godmother was Mariken Hendricksdr van der Pol. Teunis' father was Willem Hendrikszn van der Pol and his mother was Janneke Jacobssdr van Dalen.  His paternal grandparents were Hendrick Willemszn van der Pol and Maria Dirckxdr N.N.. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Teunis, Theunis, Jacob, Jacob Willemszn, Lammertje Willemsdr, Maria and Cornelia.  He was the second oldest of the eight children.  He died before June 27th, 1723.1
