Jacob was born in 1729 in Almkerk en Emmikhoven and his baptism took place there on July 17th, 1729.1   His godmothers were Lijsbet Verhoeven, Marijke van der Pol. Jacob's father was Willem Hendrikszn van der Pol and his mother was Janneke Jacobssdr van Dalen.  His paternal grandparents were Hendrick Willemszn van der Pol and Maria Dirckxdr N.N.. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Teunis, Teunis, Theunis, Jacob Willemszn, Lammertje Willemsdr, Maria and Cornelia.  He was the sixth oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 5 in 1734 in Almkerk en Emmikhoven.  The funeral took place in August 1734 in Almkerk en Emmikhoven.1 1
