Maria was born in April 1702 in Zevenhuizen (ZH) and her baptism took place there on April 16th, 1702.1  Maria's father was Willem Lambertszn van der Plas and her mother was Marijtje Claasdr Molenaar.  Her paternal grandparents were Lambrecht Janszn van der Plas and Claertje Willemsdr N.N.. She had three sisters named Anna, Arijaantje and Anna.  She was the second oldest of the four children. She had a half-sister named Klaartje Willemsdr.
