Alida was born in January 1731 in Amsterdam and her baptism took place on January 7th, 1731 in Amsterdam (Westerkerk).1   Her godfather was Pieter Lambertszn and her godmother was Jannetje Hendricksdr. Alida's father was Gerrit Parmentier and her mother was Aaltje Pietersdr Wegge.  Her paternal grandparents were Joost Parmentier and Elizabeth Jansdr N.N.; her maternal grandfather was Pieter Lambertszn Wegge and her maternal grandmother is <Unknown>. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Pieter, Joost, Joseph, Jan, Jan, Catharina, Henrica Gerritsdr, Elsje and Dirkje.  She was the second oldest of the ten children.
