Cornelis Gijsbertszn's father was Gijsbert Janszn Otterspoor and his mother was Marijckje Pauwels.  His paternal grandfather was Jan Jacobszn Otterspoor and his paternal grandmother is Joosjen Gijsbertsdr N.N.. He had four brothers and a sister, named Jan Gerritszn, Paulus, Jacob Gijsbertszn, Claes and Josina Gijsbertsdr. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Paulus, Adriana and Neeltje.  He died on October 6th, 1721 in Amsterdam.  The funeral took place on October 6th, 1721 in Amsterdam (Nieuwe Zijds Kapel).1 1
