Ewoutghen was born in October 1604 in Vrijenban (Delft) and her baptism took place on October 10th, 1604 in Nootdorp.1  Ewoutghen's father was Willem Joostzn van der Meer and her mother is Annetje Maertensdr N.N..  Her paternal grandparents were Joost Corneliszn van der Meer and Jacomijntge N.N.; her maternal grandfather is Maerten Huyenszn N.N. and her maternal grandmother was N.N. N.N.. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Joost Willemszn, Marten, Maarten Willemszn, Pieter, Maritgen, Aefgen, Aeltgen and Maritgen.  She is the fourth oldest of the nine children.
