Cornelia was born in 1748 in Kloetinge (Zeeland) and her baptism took place there on October 6th, 1748.1  Cornelia's father was Anthonij Natanaëlszn Hoebeke and her mother was Maetje Lievensdr Soutendam.  Her paternal grandparents were Natanaël Willemszn Hoebeke and Elisabeth Cornelisdr Jeremias; her maternal grandparents were Lieven Centszn Soutendam and Cornelia Pietersdr N.N.. She had twelve brothers and a sister, named Natanaël, Lieven, Cornelis Anthoniszn, Lieven Anthoniszn, Pieter Anthoniszn, Jan, Jan, Willem, Anthonij, Marinus Anthoniszn, Cent, Anthonij Anthoniszn and Elisabeth.  She was the eighth oldest of the fourteen children.  She died at the age of 37 in March 1785.1
