Peter Cornelis was born on May 29th, 1819 in Gameren.1  Peter Cornelis' father was Jan Hendrik de Geus and his mother was Diena van de Werken.  His paternal grandparents were Hendrik de Geus and Aartje Valkenburg; his maternal grandfather was Peter van de Werken and his maternal grandmother is Fijke van Leeuwen. He had three brothers and a sister, named Hendrik Adrianus, Fredrik Willem, Gijsbert Arnoldus and Arnolda Josina.  He was the second oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 77 on February 14th, 1897 in Gameren.1
