Maijke was born in 1701 in Almkerk en Emmikhoven and her baptism took place there on September 18th, 1701.1   Her godmother was Anneke Willemsdr van Brakel. Maijke's father was Willem Pieterszn Dekker and her mother was Willemke Ariens Buijser.  Her paternal grandparents were Peter Willems Dekker and Hilleke Jansdr Cool; her maternal grandparents were Arend Buijser and N.N. N.N.. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Pieter Willemszn, Gerret Willemszn, Gerit, Arien, Anneke Willemsdr, Joanna and Joanna.  She was the third oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 50 on March 26th, 1751 in Emmikhoven.2
