Heijlke was born in 1732 in Waspik and her baptism took place there on June 22nd, 1732.1   Her godmother was Elisabeth Buijs. Heijlke's father was Willem Gijsbertszn van den Broek and her mother was Marike Fasen Torens. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Gysbert, Pieter, Zijtje, Pieternella and Mijntje.  She was the fourth oldest of the six children.  She died at the age of 73 on January 3rd, 1805 in 's Gravenmoer.2
