Neelken was born in 1718 in Haaften and her baptism took place there on June 12th, 1718.1   Her godmother was Jenneke Aalbertsdr. Neelken's father was Adrianus Gompert Egbertszn Blomhert and her mother was Stijntje Aalbertse van Haaften.  Her paternal grandparents were Gompert Egbertszn Blomhert and Maria Koenen; her maternal grandparents were Aalbert Walravenszn van Haaften and Jenneken Peterszn Snoeken. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Gompert, Aelbert, Egbert Arien Gompertszn, Marieken Arien Gompertsdr, Jenneken, Heesken Ariensdr, Willemke and Neelken.  She was the seventh oldest of the nine children.  She died before 1723.1
