Jenneken was born in 1706 in Haaften and her baptism took place there on August 29th, 1706.1   Her godmother was Jenneke Willemsdr. Jenneken's father was Adrianus Gompert Egbertszn Blomhert and her mother was Stijntje Aalbertse van Haaften.  Her paternal grandparents were Gompert Egbertszn Blomhert and Maria Koenen; her maternal grandparents were Aalbert Walravenszn van Haaften and Jenneken Peterszn Snoeken. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Gompert, Aelbert, Egbert Arien Gompertszn, Marieken Arien Gompertsdr, Heesken Ariensdr, Willemke, Neelken and Neelken.  She was the second oldest of the nine children.
