Jan was born on October 29th, 1637 in Nieuwaal and his baptism took place on October 29th, 1637 in Haaften conducted by Reverend Joannis Ribbij.1  Jan's father is Aart Janszn Aldens and his mother was N.N. N.N..  His paternal grandparents were Jan Aldens and N.N. N.N.. He had two brothers and a sister, named Jan, Jan and Jantken.  He was the oldest of the four children.  He died before 1638.
