George Roberts 
George was born in 1858 in Wortley, Leeds, Yorkshire.1 George's father was Robert Richardson Roberts and his mother was Sarah. His paternal grandparents were James Roberts and Harriet Richardson. He had four brothers named Richardson, William, Charles and Alfred. He was the second youngest of the five children.
