Laura was born in 1881 in Saxlingham, Norfolk.1 Laura's father was William Ellis Lincoln and her mother was Susannah Buck. Her paternal grandparents were William Lincoln and Hephzibah Elizabeth Everrett. She had five brothers and two sisters, named William, Frederick, Arthur, Ellis, Albert, Ellen and Emma. She was the youngest of the eight children.-
