Khupchand's father was Amarchand Dahya and his mother was Minabai Manekchand.  His paternal grandparents were Dahya Lakha and Velibai; his maternal grandparents are Manekchand and Premi. He had a brother and a sister, named Mugatlal and Revabai. He had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named Anantkumar, Champabai, Shushilabai, Labhkunvar and Jayman.
