Annie's father was Jacob (Jack John) Heiser and her mother was Emily Rebecca Bromley. Her paternal grandparents were Michael Heiser and Charlotte Mendes; her maternal grandparents were Charles Bromley and <Unknown>. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Michael, Charles, Edith and Charlotte. She was the second oldest of the five children. She died due to Pulmonary oedema due to left heart failure due to myocarditis at the age of 44 on August 3rd, 1949 in Clacton.²
