Henry John was born on October 4th, 1874.  Henry John's father was William Wharin and his mother was Hannah Elizabeth Latham.  His paternal grandparents were Henry Wharin and Frances Unknown. He had a brother and two sisters, named William Loreyn, Frances Elizabeth and Ada Jane.  He was the youngest of the four children.
