Ann was born in 1715 in Bower Chalk, Wiltshire and her christening took place there on September 29th, 1715.1 2   Ann's father was John Witt and her mother was Jane Windser. She had a brother and two sisters, named John, Jane and Agnes.  She was the youngest of the four children.
