George was born on July 15th, 1819 in Thaxted, Essex and his christening took place there on September 5th, 1819.1   George's father was James Phillips and his mother was Ann. He had two sisters named Betsey and Sarah.  He was the youngest of the three children.  He died at the age of 26 in 1845 in Thaxted, Essex.  He was buried on September 18th, 1845 in Thaxted, Essex.1 1
