Richard was born in 1728 and his christening took place on July 5th, 1729 in St Marys, Southampton, Hampshire.1  Richard's father was Daniel Parker and his mother was Sarah Hooker.  His paternal grandparents were Daniel Parker and Bridget Moulton; his maternal grandparents were George Hooker and Sarah Woodford. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Daniel, Daniel, William, James, Sarah, Betty, Martha and Elizabeth.  He was the third youngest of the nine children. He had a half-sister named Mary.  He died at the age of 56 in 1784.
