James Parker

James was born in 1735 in Itchen Ferry, Hampshire and his christening took place on March 29th, 1735 in St Marys, Southampton, Hampshire.¹² James' father was Daniel Parker and his mother was Sarah Hooker. His paternal grandparents were Daniel Parker and Bridget Moulton; his maternal grandparents were George Hooker and Sarah Woodford. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Daniel, Daniel, Richard, William, Sarah, Betty, Martha and Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the nine children. He had a half-sister named Mary.
