John Charles Gillings

John was born in September 1860 in St George in the East, Middlesex.¹ John's father was William Gillings and his mother was Lucy Ann Faber. His maternal grandparents were John Faber and Lucy Bengough. He had three brothers and three sisters, named William, Thomas, Charles, Alice, Mary and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the seven children.
