John William Fish

John was born in March 1907 in Bethnal Green, Middlesex.¹ John's father was John Robert Fish and his mother was Elizabeth Isabella Horncastle. His paternal grandparents were William Fish and Mary Ann Godrey; his maternal grandparents were Samuel John Horncastle and Elizabeth Howard Richardson. He had two sisters named Isabella and Beatrice. He was the second oldest of the three children. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Edward, Ambrose, Alfred, Ivy and Joyce. He died at the age of 1 in September 1908 in Bethnal Green, Middlesex.²

- 1911 census shows 3 children to marriage, 2 dead, this fits with location, dates and forenames, that is, father's and grandfather's.
