Walter EACOTT

Walter was born on February 12th, 1894 in Bethnal Green, Middlesex. Walter's father was John Eacott and his mother was Mary Ann Lardant. His maternal grandparents were James Lardant and Mary Ann Vaughan. He had two brothers and a sister, named John, William and Sarah. He was the youngest of the four children. He had two half-sisters named Elizabeth and Mary. He died due to Emphysema at the age of 88 on March 7th, 1982 in Chingford, Essex, England. He was buried in Chingford Cemetery, Essex, England.

- Awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal (DCM) for his military service in the trenches of France during the Great War, 1914-1918, as a Serjeant in the 11th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers.
