Hannah was born in 1760 in Whippingham, isle of Wight and her christening took place there on January 26th, 1760.1 2   Hannah's father was William Chiverton and her mother was Mary. She had two brothers and two sisters, named James, William, Mary and Anne.  She was the youngest of the five children.
