Thomas was born in 1787 in Mancetter, Warwickshire and his baptism took place there on December 30th, 1787.¹   Thomas' father was John HALL and his mother was Catherina WILLSON.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph HALL and Jane PROCTOR; his maternal grandparents were Thomas WILLSON and Elizabeth <UNKNOWN>. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Joseph, John, Thomas, Joseph, William, Samuel, Samuel and Hannah.  He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.
