Henry was born on December 24th, 1815 in Mancetter, Warwickshire.1   Henry's father was John HALL and his mother was Sarah PLANT.  His paternal grandparents were John HALL and Catherina WILLSON; his maternal grandparents were Thomas PLANT and Sarah OUGHTON. He had six brothers and a sister, named Elijah, William, Samuel, John, Benjamin, Joseph and Charlotte.  He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.
