Julia was born in 1854 in Kinver, Stafford.  Julia's father was Henry HADDLETON and her mother was Elizabeth LONG.  Her paternal grandparents were William HADDLETON and Ann <UNKNOWN>; her maternal grandparents were Richard LONG and Elizabeth SMITH. She had six brothers and a sister, named George, Charles, John, William, James, Walter and Annie.  She was the second oldest of the eight children. She had a half-brother named Robert.
