Thomas was born in 1789 in Snitterfield, Nr.Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire and his baptism took place on April 12th, 1789 in Snitterfield Parish Church, Snitterfield, Nr.Stratford-On-Avon, Warwickshire.1   Thomas' father was Thomas DUFFIN and his mother was Mary HARRIS.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas DUFFIN and Sarah NEVEL. He had two brothers and five sisters, named William, John, Sarah, Elizabeth, Martha, Mary and Mary.  He was the third youngest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 78 in 1867 in Snitterfield, Nr.Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire.1
