Laly's father was Catalino (Nene) Cabanas Pomar and her mother is Narcisa (Narcing) Dacumos.  Her paternal grandparents are Juan  Domingo (Juan D) Pomar and Eulalia (Eulalia) Cabanas; her maternal grandparents are John Doe and Jane Doe. She had four brothers and five sisters, named John, Nick, Jaime, Nonon, Cheling, Milagros, Lita, Virgie and Susan. She had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Boy, Gamay, Edwin, Ric, Vangie and Marite.
