Daniel, known as Bertussi, was born on May 4th, 1980. Bertussi's father was Hilário Leff and his mother is Vera Regina Alves Machado (Leff). His paternal grandparents are João Armindo Leff and Leontina Lima (Leff); his maternal grandparents were Manoel Machado da Silva and Amália Alves Xavier (Machado). He has a sister named Vivi. He is the younger of the two children.-
