Shelomo's father was Yaakov Zvi Ziffer and his mother was Hannah  Yenta (Anchy) Rosenberg.  His paternal grandparents were Ziffer and <Unknown>. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Yehuda, Mordecai Markus, Yona, Eli, Shalom Yosef, Israel, Klara and Faige.
