Chaya was born in 1935 in Chortkiv, Ukraine.  Chaya's father was Arye Leon Kleiner and her mother was Pesya Feldman.  Her paternal grandparents were Mendel Kleiner and Chaya.  She was an only child.  She died  due to Holocaust in Monastyriska, Ukraine.
