Florence Ada was born on August 24th, 1883 in Islington.  Florence Ada's father was William Gillibrand Kendall and her mother was Sarah Elizabeth Jeffryes.  Her maternal grandparents were William Jeffryes and Sarah Woodland. She had four brothers and four sisters, named William Gillibrand, Alfred Arthur, Frank Ebenezer, Albert Arthur, Sarah Frances, Alice Rose, Lilian May and Annie Ruth.  She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 93 on November 18th, 1976 in Ramsgate.
