Albert Arthur was born on August 1st, 1885 in Walthamstow.  Albert Arthur's father was William Gillibrand Kendall and his mother was Sarah Elizabeth Jeffryes.  His maternal grandparents were William Jeffryes and Sarah Woodland. He had three brothers and five sisters, named William Gillibrand, Alfred Arthur, Frank Ebenezer, Sarah Frances, Florence Ada, Alice Rose, Lilian May and Annie Ruth.  He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 92 on January 7th, 1978 in Willington, Cambs.
