Lillian was born in 1884 in 98 High Street Gorleston.¹ Lillian's father was Edward (Smack Owner) Harvey and her mother was Louise Elizabeth Milton. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas (Shipbuilder) Harvey and Mary Elizabeth Martin; her maternal grandparents are Joseph Milton and <Unknown>. She had three brothers and a sister, named Edward, Frederick, Frank and Winfred. She was the youngest of the five children.
