William Joseph Simmans (Bricklayer) & Ellen Welch

 William Joseph Simmans (Bricklayer)
William was born on September 1st, 1831 in Shop Street Barking and his christening took place on September 14th, 1831 at St Margaret's  Church Barking conducted by Curate O Lodge.¹

  • his mother Hannah (Nee Cabburn) was 6 months pregnant before they married !!!
    This was after producing another child the previous year
    1830 who died a few weeks later.

He died at the age of 75 on May 14th, 1907 in Union Infirmary.  The funeral took place on May 19th, 1906 at St Margaret's  Church Barking.  He was buried on May 19th, 1906 at St Margaret's  Church Barking.^2 3

  • Where was he buried ?  I would think that he was buried at St Margarets in the same grave as brother George Cabburn Simmans
    Certainly buried St Margarets 

 Ellen Welch
Ellen was born in 1843.  She died at the age of 49 on April 26th, 1892 at 51 Hardwick St Barking.  The funeral took place on May 2nd, 1892 at the Rippleside Cemetery Barking.  She was buried on May 2nd, 1892 at the Rippleside Cemetery Barking.^4 5
