Ellen was born in 1843. She died at the age of 49 on April 26th, 1892 at 51 Hardwick St Barking. The funeral took place on May 2nd, 1892 at the Rippleside Cemetery Barking. She was buried on May 2nd, 1892 at the Rippleside Cemetery Barking.¹²

- ELLEN BARLEYCORN WAS A WIDOW AND LIVING WITH WILLIAM JOSEPH SIMMANS THEY NEVER MARRIED. IN 1881 CENSUS THEY RECORD THEMSELF AS SKINNER FAMILY TO HIDE THAT THEY WERE NOT MARRIED. SKINNER CAME FROM THE SKINNER FAMILY OF FARMERS IN BARKING. A THOMAS SKINNER HAD MARRIED WILLIAM JOSEPH MOTHERS (SARAH BELCHAR) SISTER AMY SKINNER AND THEY WERE RICH.
