Sarah was born about 1854 in MARTINS YARD BRAINTREE.  Sarah's father was Thomas Hunnable (B Braintree Silk Weaver) and her mother was Jane Amos (b Coggeshall Silk Weaver).  Her maternal grandparents were William Amos (b Coggeshall Silk Weaver) and Martha York (B Gt Cornard Suffolk D Martin Yard Braintree). She had two brothers and three sisters, named Walter, George, Emily, Emma and Elizabeth.  She was the third oldest of the six children.
