Thomas was born in 1793 in Barking Essex and his christening took place in 1794 at St Margaret's Barking.1   Thomas' father was Thomas Porteen Harris (Oil & Colourman -Fisherman?) and his mother was Sarah Moungall.  His paternal grandfather was John Harris (of Barking) and his paternal grandmother is Mary; his maternal grandfather was John {Shopkeeper} Moungall and his maternal grandmother is Sarah.  He was an only child.



Thomas' family

Thomas and Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony on April 23rd, 1827 in All Saints West Ham.2
