Mary was born on July 24th, 1837 in Spitalfields.1   Mary's father was William John (a Weaver) Grew and her mother is Sarah Susannah Butler. She had a brother and two sisters, named William, Susannah and Elizabeth.  She was the second youngest of the four children.  She died at the age of 83 on July 3rd, 1921 in Logan, Cache, Utah, USA.  She was buried in July 1921 in Logan, Cache, Utah, USA.

Mary and Samuel were married in a religious ceremony on June 20th, 1839 at St Matthews Bethnal Green by Curate John Gibson and witnessed by Willma John Grew & George Ricks Ames.  They had two sons and three daughters, named Samuel, William, Mary, Emma and Susan.
