John was born in 1766 in Chadwell Gt Ilford Essex.  John's father was William Everest (Blacksmith) and his mother was Ann Alles.  His maternal grandparents were Edward Alles (b Shadwell ?) and Susannah. He had a brother and five sisters, named William, Ann, Elizabeth, Ann, Sarah and Maria.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 83 on December 19th, 1849 in Chadwell.  The funeral took place on December 23rd, 1849 at St Margaret's  Church Barking.  He was buried on December 23rd, 1849 at St Margaret's  Church Barking.
