Louisa was born in 1879 in Bromley.1   Louisa's father was Arthur (Shipwright) Childs and her mother was Isabella of Jersey.  Her paternal grandparents were Zachariah Childs (Farmer Shoemaker) and Sarah Tyler. She had three sisters named Florence, Eliza and Clara.  She was the youngest of the four children.
