Teresa was born in 1894.  Teresa's father was Carmelo "Carmine" Rao and her mother was Pasqua "Pasqualina" Pensabene.  Her paternal grandfather is Antonio "Antonino" Rao and her paternal grandmother was Venera "Teresa" Recupero; her maternal grandparents are Francesco Pensabene and Maria Barresi. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Francesco "Frank", Giovanni "John" C., Antonio, Maria "Mary" and Carmela.  She died at the age of 43 in 1937.  Her burial was in St. Francis.
