  • CARMELA (RAO) COSTANTINO, 94, of Redwood Drive, died Wednesday at Kent County Memorial Hospital, Warwick.
    
    She was the wife of the late Salvatore Costantino. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Carmine and Pasqualina (Pensabenea) Rao, she had lived in Providence most of her life before moving to Cranston seven years ago.
    
    Mrs. Costantino was a communicant of St. Ann Church, Providence.
    
    She enjoyed cooking and baking, and was known as Auntie Carmela.
    
    She leaves a daughter, Concetta Dempsey of Cranston, with whom she lived; three sons, Francesco Costantino of Hemet, Calif., Carmino Costantino of Westerly and Gino Costantino of Foster; and nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Teresa Aiello, Mary DiPietro, and Antonio, Frank and John Rao.
    
    The funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from Mariani Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Ann Church, Hawkins Street, Providence. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
