Angelina "Angela" Rao

Angelina "Angela" was born on September 18th, 1906. Angelina "Angela"'s father was Giuseppe "Joseph" Rao and her mother was Santa Gitto. Her paternal grandfather is Antonio "Antonino" Rao and her paternal grandmother was Venera "Teresa" Recupero. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Antonio, Antonio "Anthony", Giovanni "John", Charles, Teresa "Theresa", Carmela and Rosina "Rose". She was the third oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 87 in July 1994.

- ANGELA LAPATI, 87, of 461 Woonasquatucket Ave. died Saturday at Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of Anthony Lapati.
  
  Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Joseph and Santa (Gitto) Rao, she lived in Coventry for 10 years. She returned to North Providence two years ago.
  
  Mrs. Lapati was a supervisor for the Victory Plating Co. for 20 years, and had worked for other jewelry firms for 20 years before retiring in 1987.
  
  Besides her husband she leaves a daughter, Joan Ladefian of Warwick; two sons, Andrew J. Lapati of Newtown, Conn., and Anthony W. Lapati of Johnston; a sister, Carmella Marsocci of Coventry; 14 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. She was mother of the late Marjorie Brady, and sister of the late Teresa Alessandro, Rose DiFilippo-Saravo, John, Anthony, and Charles Rao.
  
  The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Mariani Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Lawrence Church, Woonasquatucket Avenue. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
