In the Camus graveyard, there is a Samuel, died 1872 aged 82, "died at Camus", buried with an Isabella, died 1882 aged 76, a Samuel Jnr, died 1883 aged 39 and a Sarah, died 1887 aged 18. There is no indication if this is all one family although it would seem likely.
Then there are a whole herd of births recorded to Samuel Gray and Fanny Lafferty in Crossgar Presbyterian Church, from 1866 to 1882, the first being a John, then Robert Thomas 1867, Sarah 1868, Isabella 1870, Eliza Jane 1972 and William James 1882. Fanny Ann was born in 1874 in Camus according to the Civil Record of her birth.
However, this man is NOT either of the Samuel Grays in the Griffiths Valuation as I know that the two Samuel Grays in the Griffiths Valuation are the same man and that he was the son of a Joseph Gray of Camus, who died in 1878. He was too young to be in the GV but why is his father not there?
