There is an inconsistency here as her mother is given as as Peggy McVickar on the IGI database. We know that her father and Peggy McVickar only married in 1870, 5 years after her birth, so it may be that Jane Carson was her mother and she saw Peggy McVickar as an adoptive mother after her own mother perhaps died.
Margaret gives herself as 43 in the 1910 census, married 15 years with 3/3 children, parents born in Ireland.
Margaret gives her age as 52 in the 1920 census and says her parents are from Scotland!
Margaret is dead by 1930 because her husband is a widow in the 1930 census.
