Many of these Connecticut deaths don't give much info - perhaps it was due to the influenza empidemic. Possibly this is James W. There was one James W. who died in Conn but the date was 1887. Neither says Hebron and besides this family was still in Queens, NY in 1887.

James W. (probably for his father, William) Gray Pedigree Birth: , , New York, Parents: Father: Wm. Gray Mother: Jane Carson, Marriages: Spouse: Cora E. Pardee, Marriage: 19 MAR 1883 Manhattan, New York, New York. (BB says this is a Civil Marriage.)
The 1900 Census for Fulton Avenue, Queens, New York has James, born Feb 1862, aged 27, married 18 years, born New York, parents both born in Ireland, an oil engineer, living with his wife, Cora, aged 34 and children Armenia J, Sarah J, Francis W, Mary E and Harold L, plus his mother in law, Armenia J Taylor (did she marry twice because her daughter's name was Pardee at marriage?), aged 55, born in New York in June 1844, mother of three children, only one alive.
By the 1910 Census, he was in Andover Town, Tolland County, Connecticut, describing himself as a farmer, aged 47 and 28 years married.
Called "John" in his daughter's second marriage.
